Crafted from the estate’s celebrated Tignanello vineyard in the Chianti Classico hills between the Greve and Pesa valleys, this vintage reflects near perfect growing conditions: a balanced season with mild temperatures and steady ripening. The result is a wine of precision and harmony, offering depth and age worthy complexity. First released in 1971, Tignanello was revolutionary. It was the first Sangiovese aged in small French barriques and among the earliest Italian wines to blend Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. This bold move helped redefine modern Italian winemaking and sparked the Super Tuscan movement.
