Roc de Cambes - Cotes de Bourg 2022
Intro: The 2022 Roc de Cambes opens with richly saturated purple plum hues and a beguiling bouquet of black cherries, cassis, and dark plums, layered with espresso roast, licorice, graphite and menthol. On the palate it is medium to full bodied, densely structured with a core of ripe dark fruit, powdery tannins, and a fine mineral/chalky finish. The estate is owned by the same family behind Tertre Rôteboeuf and sits on the limestone rich plateau of the Côtes de Bourg. Many of the vines are estimated to be 50 years old and the terroir closely mirrors its famous Right‐Bank neighbour in Saint Émilion.
