Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru 2017
Intro: The 2017 vintage of Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru from Domaine Confuron Cotetidot is an impressive expression of Côte de Nuits Pinot Noir, showing depth, richness and the terroir signature of one of Burgundy’s most storied walled vineyards. The Confuron family have been vine growers since the reign of Louis XIV and still manage the estate today in Vosne Romanée. The estate emphasises classic Burgundy methods: whole bunch fermentation, long maceration, minimal new oak in older barrels.

Tasting Notes: The 2017 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, Confuron Cotetidot shows deep ruby garnet color with aromas of blackberry, raspberry, violet, forest floor, spice, and subtle musky notes. Concentrated and satin textured, with a red and dark fruit core layered by earthy minerality. Firm yet refined tannins and bright acidity give structure. The finish is long, persistent, and mineral driven. Currently tight but with excellent ageing potential
