Intro: Records show that a Foral (royal decree) was bestowed on the city of Evora by King Manuel I in 1501. The Cartuxa winery has combined ancient practices with todays know how to create this unique wine: evocative of wines made in Evora for time immemorial.

Aging: 2 months in new French and American oak barrels, followed by 15 months in the bottle.

Tasting Notes: Garnet coloured wine. Fruity aroma, with fruit jam, balsamic notes. In the mouth it has very good concentration, good acidity, very ripe and smooth tannins. Velvety finish.
